Why 99 Outdoors ?
The name 99 Outdoors comes from the heart of Jesus’ parable in Luke 15, where the shepherd leaves the ninety-nine sheep to go after the one that is lost. To the world, one may seem small. To Jesus, one is worth everything.
That is the heart behind 99 Outdoors. We believe every person has value, purpose, and a place. For individuals with special needs and their families, the outdoors can sometimes feel out of reach.
Hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventures may seem impossible because of physical challenges, medical needs, accessibility concerns, or lack of opportunity. But where the world may see limits, we see a chance to make a way.
99 Outdoors exists to seek out the one — the child, adult, or family who may feel overlooked, left behind, or told “you can’t.” Through safe, accessible, Christ-centered outdoor experiences, we create opportunities for participants to enjoy God’s creation, build confidence, make memories, and feel the love of Jesus in a very real way.
Our mission is not just about hunting or fishing. It is about inclusion. It is about belonging. It is about reminding every participant and family that they are seen, loved, and never forgotten. Just as Jesus went after the one, we believe no one should be left behind.
