Participant Eligibility and Review
Participant Eligibility
Programs primarily serve individuals with physical, intellectual, developmental, cognitive, or other disabilities that create barriers to participation in traditional outdoor recreation. Applicants are considered individually. Participation is subject to a completed application, required waivers and releases, requested medical or support information when applicable, compliance with organizational policies, and the availability of appropriate space, volunteers, equipment, and accommodations.
Individualized Review
99 Outdoors shall review each application individually to understand the planned activity, participant abilities and support needs, caregiver input, requested accommodations, available adaptive equipment, volunteer capacity, and relevant safety considerations. A diagnosis or disability alone shall not determine whether a person may participate. Decisions are based on the individual participant and the specific activity.
